福岡ダンスフリンジフェスティバル～ダンスの発火点～ とは

「福岡ダンスフリンジフェスティバル～ダンスの発火点～」は2008年にスタートしました。
このフェスティバルは、

●新進気鋭の振付家・ダンサーの作品発表・実験の場であること
●多様で新しいダンスをさまざまな角度から楽しむ・探究する場であること
●振付家・ダンサーおよびダンスに関心のある人の交流の場であること

を目指して、出演作品を日本全国・アジア諸国はもちろん世界各国から募集して開催するダンスの一大イベントです。
海外のフェスティバルやディレクターともネットワークを結び、毎年このフェスティバルをきっかけにいくつかの作品が海外に招聘されています。
この機会にぜひチャレンジしてみてください！

Fukuoka Dance Fringe Festival—the ignition point of dance—
The upcoming “Fukuoka Dance Fringe Festival—the ignition point of dance” is the 10th Fringe Festival since its inception in 2008.
The Festival has steadily expanded its profile over the past nine years, but it retains its core mission summarized in three tenets:

●Provide a venue where choreographers and dancers can experiment with new concepts and methods
●Provide a stage where new and diverse performances can be enjoyed and studied from a multitude of perspectives
●Provide a meeting place for choreographers, dancers, and others interested in the performing arts to meet and network

The Festival now attracts submissions not only from Japan and Asia but globally. Its ties to numerous dance festivals in East Asia and the attendance of leading festival directors offers a rare opportunity for upcoming performers and choreographers to showcase their work in front of those who can take the best performances to a wider, international audience. We urge artists to take advantage of this rare opportunity and submit their work for consideration.

I can't believe that Fukuoka Dance Fringe Festival is celebrating its 10th year in 2017! It's been a wild ride, and ten years have flown by in the blink of an eye. This has me thinking that we humans might dance right past the beginning of time, the current moment flying by us, and way past the day the Earth dies. I imagine us floating, dancing into space like a diligent line of ants marching away. Anyway, my daydreaming aside... If you have an itch to dance, or a work you're yearning to share, today's the day to take action. We can't wait to review your applications, and we're excited to see your unique form of physical expression, and celebrating dance.

ダンスだかなんだかよくわからない。でも自分にしかできない「過剰な何か」が身体の中でグルグル渦巻いているキミ！それをドーンとぶつけるべき場が、福岡にあるぞ！同じカタマリを抱えた連中が、広くアジアの各国から集っている。それがこのＦＤＦＦなのだ！
日本とアジアをつなぐダンスの拠点として、日本有数の絆を築いてきたこのフェスは、キミに世界への扉を開くかもしれない。しかしアイデア一発で押し切れるほど甘くはないぞ。「舞台上に立つ身体性」をしっかりと突き詰めて、ドーンとかかってこい！

Hey you! Do you have something extreme bubbling inside of you? Something you're not quite sure what it is, or if it's a dance at all? There's a place for you in Fukuoka to bring and showcase that chunk of emotion or creation, whatever it is! There are bunch of other folks there with similar "chunks", and they're gathering from all across Asia. That place is called Fukuoka Dance Fringe Festival! FDFF has become one of the most important cultural links between Japan and Asia, and it's your chance to open up the door to the rest of the world. An idea alone won't get you to shine at FDFF, so come prepared with the physicality that will stand the test on stage. Good luck!

※上記のいずれか1日に出演していただきます。
※2月7日（火）より会場にてリハーサルができます。詳細な日程は出演決定後に調整いたします。上演作品数が多いため1組あたりのリハーサル時間が限られていますので、その旨ご了承ください。
※公演以外にも、ワークショップやトークイベントなどの関連企画を実施する予定です。詳細は公式サイトにて昨年度の実績をご覧ください。

February 11 & 12, 2017

・Works selected will be performed on either February 11 or 12. No work will be performed twice.
・Performers will be expected to take part in technical meetings and rehearsals starting on Feb. 7, 2017. Since there are many performances, the amount of rehearsal time per performance will be limited. A detailed schedule will be sent once the selection process is concluded.
・In addition to the main showcase, the festival will be hosting workshops, discussion panels, and other related events. For more details, please visit our official website to see a list of last year's events.

応募条件など -Submission Details-

● オリジナルのダンス作品を創っている人なら、どなたでもご応募できます。
● 福岡県外の出演者については、1組につき最大5万円までの交通費を支援いたします。
● 1作品の長さは原則20分以内です。
● 新作・再演いずれも可。
● 参加費・チケットノルマはありませんが、自分たちの作品をより多くの方に観ていただくために、広報・宣伝への最大のご協力をよろしくお願いいたします。

●We encourage the submission of any original dance performance.
●For performers travelling from other prefectures than Fukuoka, travel expenses will be subsidized (up to ¥50,000 per group).
●As a general rule, the length of the performance should be no more than 20 minutes.
●The performance can be a first performance or a repeat of a previously performed work.
●There are no fees or ticket sale requirements associated with participation. Nevertheless, we ask that performers enthusiastically promote and advertise the Festival to attract a wider audience.
